Obsidian is a silica rich volcanic rock which can contain various mineral deposits. Often glassy in appearance and the colour can range from black, dark brown or dark grey.

The frequency of Black Obsidian connects to the Earth star and base chakras and is an excellent grounding stone. Black Obsidian helps to eliminate and cleanse one's energy fields of all negativity and then protect one's energy fields by creating a shield around one's being.
