Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz containing traces of the elements iron and aluminium, it also has been subjected to small amounts of natural irradiation. The colour ranges from pale violet to deep purple.

The frequency of Amethyst is connected to the third eye, crown and upper transpersonal chakras.

It is a crystal of "Spirit" allowing one to connect to the higher dimensions of consciousness and thus connect to one's guides to receive information and guidance. By opening and clearing the third eye and crown chakras it allows one to develop one's psychic abilities and intuition.
