Larimar, also known as blue pectolite, is a pastel blue and green gemstone containing areas of white or dark red. It comes from the Dominican Republic and is volcanic in origin. Its hardness ranges from 5 to 7.

It is said to help one relieve stress, calm anger, soothe burns and attune to a gentle joy.
